Description
RS232, also known as EIA-232, is a serial communication standard widely used in computer communication and electronic equipment. It defines the electrical and physical characteristics of a serial interface between devices, such as computers and modems. The RS232 connector has nine pins and can transmit data over relatively short distances at speeds up to 115,200 bits per second. Despite its older technology, it continues to be used in various industries for communication between legacy equipment and newer devices.
